Happy Boxes....... the humble beginnings
My first painted box was a gift box for a bracelet. I really wanted to make the gift a bit more special and so I got a small paper mache' box and began layering the colors, drawing, inking & sealing and then added some sparkle. The bracelet was lovely but it was the box brought smiles and a tear or two. She described it as a "Happy Box."
The matches were inspired by a family wedding. They evolved as an alternative to commercial match books, providing a unique wedding favor. In the drawer, under the matches, you will find the date of the event and the couple's names.
